Functionality:

V3.6 Version 3.6 of NCapture monitors the NEAT Database for new events, and upon seeing those events, alerts the user to enter more information about the event that has taken place.
The NEAT Database (schema available in Extras), is monitored on a regular pulse interval. At setup, the user is prompted to define the user and instance information that is later correlated with the events that are being updated.
A note about Assets: The NControl Enterprise Asset Tracking system views the world as simply a collection of assets that fall into two categories: Fixed Assets (those that have been bolted down and typically are the data readers) and Floating Assets (those things in the world that move around and can be detected by readers; like personnel tags, RFID Tags, Biometrics, barcodes, magnetic stripes, etc.) When two (or more) Assets come into contact with each other, an Event occurs. The database at the heart of NEAT stores those Events, the Assets associated with those Events and specific Asset and Event information that correlates to the Assets and Events recorded. This unique approach allows us to tie different systems together into one unified database of activity at a particular facility or across a whole organization. NCapture allows users to add specific information about the assets and events that the occur when the assets come together. This ability adds identity and attributes to the assets and meaning to the events.
Any information entered from any of the NControl Suite of Applications against an asset is displayed and available to the user. This information as well as the user's identity and instance information is added to the specific information the user enters about the event and stored against the event in the database for use by the other NControl Suite of Applications.
