V3.6 |
Version 3.6 of NAble monitors the NEAT Database for new events, and upon seeing those events, checks to see if the events match the critera for actions defined by the user. If they do, the action is performed, if not, the events are ignored. |

The NEAT Database (schema available in Extras), is monitored on a regular pulse interval. At setup the user defines a heirarchial set of rules. When NAble detects an event, the rules are applied and a decision is made determining the course of action NAble should take. NAble then performs this action. |

A Note About Rule Sets: NAble uses the most flexible and robust rule set analyzer available today. Construction of rules within this set, although aided by the user interface, can be difficult as the complexity of the rule sets increase. When purchasing this product, NControl recomends that you also purchase a block of training and support time. |

V4.0 |
The rule set processing functions of NAble have been moved from the Windows GUI to a Windows Service application. Additionally, a library of standard rules has been included and additional functions can be performed, including updates to the database. Be warned, using NAble to update the database, may cause NAble to operate on the information that it just added creating a situation of infinate cycles or H. Mobius Looping. Care must be taken with these features when setting up NAble. |
